I love cherry blossom trees and the japanese fascination with it. So delicate and beautiful.
This tile is made from a turquoise base with copper inclusions for the branches and twigs and frit (crushed glass) for the cherry blossom flowers. A copper dragonfly floats through the scene. All encased in clear glass. This will never fade, a lovely thought as we approach winter and springs seems a long way off.
The tile measures approx 10cm x 7.5cm and would look lovely sat on a mini acrylic plate rack or placed on a table.
The tile has been fused in a digitally controlled kiln to ensure stability within the glass and prevent cracking. Any small bubbles are part of the charm of the piece.
Fused glass is quite durable and whilst I wouldn't recommend that you throw it around (!), if you drop it, it shouldn't break, (unless perhaps it's on a tiled floor from a great height!)
I want you to be 100% happy with anything you buy therefore I am happy to offer a 7 day, no quibble refund on all items. All items must be returned to me in their orginal state and with the original packing. Unfortunately I cannot refund the postage.
