Full description
The sun, stitched to the background, then lightly covered with cloud-like wool fibres, is just setting. The lake, couched in layers of a variety of yarns and threads is edged with rushes.
Scraps of fabric, are appliqueed in place to form the design for this brooch. The design is framed with a row of couching over a fancy ribbon thread with metallic fibres, in a mixture of blues,green and pink.
The brooch is stiffened with plastic cut from a re-cycled bottle. The back of the brooch is neatened with commercial felt and a brooch pin is securely stitched in place.
