Jolly glass bird decoration for your home.
Created from layered red, blue, black and yellow Bullseye glass in my Whitstable workshop. The body, wing, beak and tail feathers are all hand cut and fused separately before being joined in subsequent firings with the brass hanging wire secured in place. Final adjustments are made until I’m satisfied with the look and the whole piece is given a final firing to achieve a perfect finish. The wire feet are then soldered in place and hammered to shape. Finally, a red gingham ribbon is attached to complete the design.
