Hello, I'm Andrea and I live in Nottingham, UK. I started braiding when I asked a friend where her beautiful bracelet had come from and she told me she made it! I am a craftaholic so after discovering Kumihimo, or Japanese Braiding, I was hooked!
Why Silk and Rainbows?
My jewellery is hand woven using soft rattail silk, a nylon satin vegan friendly cord, in a myriad of beautiful colours! I use the Japanese braiding technique of Kumihimo which means 'gathered threads'.
As well as my own collections, I love creating bespoke items just for you, so please feel free to browse my store and if you don't find exactly what you are looking for, just get in touch.
Many items can be made to measure in different colour combinations or with alternative clasps.
I aim to ship custom made items within 5 working days.
