Hello and welcome to my Dottery Pottery about me page.
I've always been quite creative and it was a path that I knew I would follow from a very young age. I studied a foundation course in art and design and then went on to study a degree in 3Dimensional design, specialising in ceramics and glass.
I have a great interest in surface design and colour and try to make my work bright and fun.
I'm inspired by nature, love and cakes! - I'm really into birdwatching at the moment and trying to recognise all the different birdsong. It's pretty hard to remember them all but I think I've picked out the call of the song thrush, blackbirds, robins and the green woodpecker.
I'm a bit of a 'Dolly Daydream' and quite often zone out with new ideas - which is why I have a sketchbook with me at all times.

Came across Dottery Pottery when I received a lovely gift by them from a friend. Visited the site and this tiny mug caught my eye. It’s gorgeous, so well made and the tiny gingerbread man is adorable. Looking forward to seeing it on my mantelpiece at Christmas.
