About this item
This small but perfectly formed box has an unusual hexagonal shape and is the perfect size to store small items of jewellery. It has been hand finished and decorated in marquetry using teak, oak and rosewood veneers to create a star design in sympathy to the box shape. The finish is multi layers of shellac with a final application of wax polish to produce a flat semi-matt surface. It is fully lined with green baize to protect the contents and has soft felt pads to protect the standing surface. It also features a concealed hinge mechanism and a hidden magnetic catch for the lid. Size - 7.5 x 6.5 x 4 cms Weight - 30 gms

I like the symmetry of the hexagon shape and made the marquetry star design to fit on the lid to match that shape.
