Full description
This Rusty Metal Wall Clock has been made using a piece of metal washed up on one of the beautiful Norfolk beaches. The rusty patina has built up over time and gives the clock a really unique and natural look.
The metal was partially buried in the sand and was badly bent, but the rusty patina was shining in the sun, I saw the potential so had to take it home with me.
I turned it into a clock face by hammering the metal flat, cleaning it, and cutting to form the face. The metal was then mounted onto a piece of reclaimed plywood (which has been painted dark brown). The metal is held in place with 12 x bolts (painted gold). Finally several layers of artists quality gloss spray varnish have been applied to enhance the clock and provide protection.
This is a one of a kind clock which looks great and will be a talking point.
There is a hook on the back, so this is ready to hang from your wall.
The clock has a quality quartz movement and takes 1 x AA Battery (included).
