About this item
This rug is made using traditional methods. The fleeces are first washed by hand. They are then carded and spun by hand using a traditional spinning wheel. This yarn is then woven into a rug using a peg loom. The rug is made with fleeces, mostly Jacob, that graze locally to our workshop in South West Wales Uk. Sustainable, clean and handmade in Wales Fully washable, using a cool wash in a large machine,(or the launderette) or can be hand washed. Do not wring, but dry in a large towel and dry flat. The size you see here is 24"x 36" All rugs are handmade to order, please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. We can make rugs custom size, please let us know your sizes and we can quote a price. We can also use different fleeces to achieve many different designs, let us know your ideas, likes and loves and we will do our best to help. Using a mix of hand spun yarn and carded fleece, I have made this warm, soft peg rug full of texture. Its extremely tactile.
