Meet the maker Ritva Roesler

Dear art lovers,

A very warm welcome to my Kirjo Designs shop!

Inspired by plants and their ever changing shapes I love to create these simple white line images with colourful backgrounds. It seems that I find most of my objects in my garden, in plant pots on window sills and on my long walks in Richmond Park here in London. It is still a little mystery to me how certain plants or parts of plants manage to catch my attention in a way that makes it impossible for me to say ‘no’ to studying and capturing them. The result is both new and unique in a simple way.

Well, this was back then! Meanwhile I have extended the range and included small textiles and paper collages made with handmade paper.

After graduating from the University of Tuebingen in Germany with a Master Degree in Biology I spend several years studying sculpturing and printmaking in the Stuttgart State Academy of Art. For more than 10 years I have been producing various artworks by using wool and ceramic either combined or individually and prints with a traditional printing press.

You are most welcome to have a peek at the ‘other’ artworks on my Web page
