Meet the maker David Reynolds

Pembrokeshire Wood Designs produce bespoke items using reclaimed, fallen and locally sourced materials. Contemporary designs specifically concentrate on the naturally occurring grain structure and defects of native oak, ash, spalted beech, chestnut and yew to produce unique works of art.
I studied three dimensional design 30 years ago obtaining an honours degree that specialised in Cabinet making, Silversmithing and Education and went on to work in the Cotswolds as a craft and design teacher for nearly 10 years.
Prior to semi -retirement I worked for 27 years as a warden and carpenter for Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority and at the same time produced bespoke furniture, woodturning and many countryside artefacts ranging from oak bridges to water wheels .
I welcome work on a commissioned basis and no project is too small - from small garden and household projects to furniture design and construction.
All wood chippings produced while making my items are recycled by converting into wood and paper briquettes for household burning.
I live in the Pembrokeshire countryside with my potter wife Sue, Polish Lowland Sheepdog Tip and Bearded Collie Douglas
