Meet the maker Nicola Jane Geldard

I am lucky enough to live in the heart of the Ribble Valley surrounded by beautiful countryside and in the shadow of the infamous Pendle Hill.

I have always loved drawing and from a young age it's come as second nature to me and I am at my most content with a pencil, pen and paper.

At college I studied surface pattern design and from then I was lucky enough to get a job in design. For the past twelve years I have been a fabric designer and I have created designs for well known shops and brands. But unfortunately at the begaining of 2013 the company I worked for closed. So I decided to take the oppertunuty to do what I have always wanted to do and work for myself. I have two young children at home so I get the best of both worlds by spending more time with them. Then when I get five minutes to my self I can get my box of paints, glue, glitter and anything else I can find out and make a mess which is so liberating after staring at a computer screen for twelve years!

So I Hope you like my work, and thanks for taking the time to look around.
