Meet the maker Alison Morris

I'm Alison, thank-you for having a look at my shop. I was born in Aberdeen and moved to Cheshire when I got married to an Englishman I met in France, not that that has anything to do with my love of jewellery and beading!

I have been making jewellery on and off for many years, usually because I was unable to find the colours and styles that I liked in the shop, or I would find a beaded necklace with beads I really liked and would adapt it to suit my style, for example, positiioning the beads differently or reducing the number of beads on the necklace in order to use the beads to make matching earrings or a bracelet (or sometimes both).

I didn't start to bead seriously until 2012 and since then I have learnt several different beading techniques as you will see in my work, however, there are many more techniques to learn - watch this space.

Most of my jewellery is made from Swarovski crystals and pearls - they are such a delight to work with - beautiful colours and finish as well as several sizes and shapes.

My inspiration for different pieces of jewellery often comes from things I see in my everyday life - a piece of fabric, a dress in a shop window that makes me think - "What could I make to compliment that fabric or dress?"

I have included a few pictures with each item listed so that you can get an idea of size, shape and colour, though colours may vary becasue of the angle the photo is taken or the lighting conditions at the time.

Enough about me, happy browsing!
