Meet the maker Lynette Charles

Lynette is based in Shropshire. She works with sterling silver, copper and has recently also started working with silver clay, using a range of techniques including traditional silversmithing and enamelling. In order to introduce colour into her designs Lynette includes semiprecious gemstones, glass beads and vitreous enamels in her designs. Lynette studied at the Shrewsbury College of Arts, and has recently become a member of the guild of enamellers. her collections have developed and expanded as she learns new techniques.

A key theme of Lynette's work is texture, and nature. She develops collections in her Shropshire based workshop, drawing upon the wonderful ever changing country side around her, which inspire her. She then translates these ideas into wearable unique pieces of jewellery through experimentation at her workbench. As each piece is handmade by Lynette, they are completely unique and lovingly hand crafted. Lynette's clients range from people looking for special gifts for a friend or loved one or for something as a special treat for themselves.
