Meet the maker Jenni Phillips

I work mainly in thrown earthenware ceramics using slips, sgraffito and under glaze colours.
My earthenware pottery is both decorative and functional, inspired by the colours and detail of the hedgerows and the fruits of the sea - fish, lobsters and shellfish.
I have recently been developing a small range of work using stoneware slips and simpler decorative techniques, and some larger garden ceramics and ornaments. Most of my work is functional or based on vessel forms.
My decoration on earthenware pieces is often inspired by the natural world, and the Cornish landscape sea and coast around me.
