Meet the maker Heidi Meier

Heidi Meier is a textile artist based in East Anglia who creates vibrant colourful artwork inspired by the natural world, themes of friendship and exploration, with more than a hint of nostalgia.

Artist's statement:

Welcome and thank you for visiting my Folksy shop.

All the items listed in the shop are designed and made by me. I hand dye some fabrics and use a variety of embroidery and appliqué techniques to create my designs.

My cards and prints are professionally printed locally. I chose giclee for my prints because this system uses archival quality inks on premium heavyweight paper. The reproduction is superb, allowing you to see the individual stitches of the original artworks and it's a lovely way to be able to buy affordable artwork without compromising on quality.

I licence some of my designs to Green Pebble, an East Anglian greetings card publisher and all of these designs are available as limited edition prints from my shop.

Most of my designs are listed in my Folksy shop, and I am also happy to undertake commissions. If you want a bit more of an idea of how commissions develop, do visit my Facebook page ( as I often post work in progress projects there.
