Meet the maker Clare Lloyd

Hello and welcome to my Folksy Shop!

My name is Clare and I'm a jewellery designer-maker based in the South West of the UK. My love of all things colourful has led me to working with polymer and resin clay and sterling silver to create a colourful and contemporary range of minimalist jewellery - I keep the designs simple to allow the colour to be the focal point. I mix and blend polymer or resin clays like paint to create as many different shades and tones as my imagination allows and I hand roll beads into simple shapes to create one-of-a-kind pieces of jewellery. I use traditional silversmithing techniques to make all of my findings.

I love making jewellery and i want you to enjoy wearing my designs as much as i enjoy making them. Each item is made to the highest possible standards and quality and i aim to provide the best possible customer service. I welcome commissions, so if you have any particular colours in mind or need a colour match, i would love to hear from you.

Thank you for visiting.

Payment - I accept payment by PayPal and would require payment in full before items can be dispatched.

Postage - All items are sent using Royal Mail 1st class recorded delivery so a signature will be required upon receipt. If requested, items can be posted by Royal Mail Special Delivery at an additional cost. All items are carefully packaged in a gift box and wrapped in acid free tissue paper. Unfortunately, I cannot pay for the return postage costs and I would strongly recommend that you return items to me using recorded delivery and obtain proof of postage.

Unfortunately, I cannot accept returns on earrings for hygiene reasons.

Delivery - I aim to post all stock items within 48 hours of receiving payment. Details of delivery time scales are shown on each item. Custom orders will take longer to make and dispatch but I will keep you fully up-to-date with progress of your order. If you need items urgently, please let me know and I'm sure I can accommodate your requirements.

Looking after your jewellery - polymer and resin clay are durable and pretty tough materials but, like all jewellery, it needs to be treated carefully. If the resin clay inset on rings, studs or pendants gets grubby, it can be gently cleaned using warm soapy water. Sterling silver will tarnish over time but wearing it will keep it shiny. Any tarnishing can be removed by carefully using a silver cloth. Please try to avoid spraying perfume onto the silver or coloured clay and do not immerse in water and hopefully, your jewellery will give you many years of wear.

I really want you to love your jewellery and be happy with the service. If you have any problems or questions, please do contact me.
