I am a freelance illustrator and artist based in Chorlton, Manchester. My specialities are decorative maps and places, children's books (especially animals) and portraits. I work with inks and watercolours (and sometimes clay, tissue paper, plants and collage, too). Influences on my work include medieval stained glass and manuscripts and contemporary and traditional ceramics (especially slip-trailing and scraffitto). I am drawn to places that celebrate events- such as the Thames Pageant and Manchester City Football Parade. I graduated from Stockport College in 2009 in Illustration (1st class), and have have my images published in a children's book for Oxford University Press and on leaflets for the National Trust.
