Hi, thanks for taking the time to find out a bit about me. I’m an ordinary bloke who enjoys making things properly, with my hands, my tools, and a bit of patience. I’ve always liked building and fixing things, but the whole props side of what I do actually started by accident. My daughter needed some bits made for her theatre and dance school, so I stepped in to help. One thing led to another, and before long I was building sets, props, and all sorts of odd requests. I found I really enjoyed it, and people kept asking for more, so I kept going.

These days I work from my home workshop, which is usually full of timber, half-finished ideas, and tools I swear I just had in my hand a moment ago. I make a mix of things: bespoke woodwork, custom props for local theatre groups, decorative garden items, and outdoor furniture built to last. I like taking on projects that are a bit different or that need some creative problem-solving.

I’ve always believed that if you’re going to make something, you should make it properly. Whether it’s a simple garden ornament or a more complicated prop or piece of furniture, I try to put the same care into all of it. I want people to pick something up and feel that it’s solid, well made, and worth having.

And yes, I do have a cat. She pops into the workshop now and then, usually to sit exactly where I’m trying to work or to judge my progress.
