The more colourful the better (as you can see from my listings)! I only started crocheting a few years ago and it quickly blossomed into a full blown passion. My Mum showed me the basics and then I started following other peoples patterns, making toys for my kids, Christmas decorations for friends, personalised wedding gifts, hats, gloves, shawls, poncho's. It grew arms and legs until I had given just about everyone I knew, including the girls at work, something I had crocheted. I began adapting patterns to make things more personal, and finally started writing my own when my children started asking for more and more outlandish things, like 'a dragon scarf with scales, and 'a furry sloth scarf.' Having reached the point of saturation, where I had run out of people to off load my crochet goodies onto, and fearing I would become a crazy crochet lady with piles of unwanted crochet goods threatening to spring from every available storage space in my house, I realized I needed another outlet. And that is how Seolta Hooker came into existence. My little business is just getting started at the moment, but I have plans. Lots and lots of wonderful crochet plans!
