Hello, I’m Nicola, the maker behind The Crafty Pumpkin. This name was chosen, as Pumpkin is a nickname given to me by my husband, so it seemed fitting to build a brand from it.

I currently live in Wiltshire as my husband is based here with the Army, however I come from St. Ives, Cornwall.

My crafting journey is very new, only starting at the end of January this year. I work as a Paramedic with the NHS, and felt I needed a hobby that I would enjoy and could de-stress. I loved some of the items and effects I had seen achieved with Resin so I thought I’d give it a go. I started small with a keyring making set at first, and soon took over half the dining room with crafting supplies. My next venture was geode coaster sets, which immediately proved very popular and I soon had a few orders from friends and family. It was then I realised I had a bit of a knack for the craft and started exploring other items and techniques. I opened a store on Folksy to have somewhere to showcase my pieces and guide people to who were interested. Navigating social media to help my brand grow has certainly been a learning curve. I am definitely learning a lot as I go and have many more ideas planned!
