Traditional Silk Screen Printer

Hi, I’m Suzanne and I live and make work in Plymouth, Devon.
I am inspired by the architecture from the two cities that I have lived in for the majority of my life, London & Plymouth from the pattern, texture to the nature that I exists in these urban areas. After studying Art & Design many moons ago, I ended up working in buying and merchandising for 10 years+ I eventually became disillusioned with retail I knew that my true love was printing.
I decided to take a chance and left London behind, moved to Plymouth to do a degree in surface pattern design at Plymouth College of Art. After writing my dissertation on traditional craftsmanship, I felt that it was important to me to use silk screen and lino printing in my work in the future.

Recently I have started natural dyeing fabrics prior to printing on them, because of this each item will be individual and unique. The hand printed element will have inconsistency in however this is the intrinsic beauty of these items.

Where ever possible I use natural fabric, mostly linen and cotton. Also some items are made locally, if not by myself.

Currently all the Art work are original one offs this being reflected in the pricing.

I do carry stock, these are all limited numbers so if you would like a particular piece please contact directly or follow me on Instagram.

Also I am trying to encourage recycling wherever possible so any packaging I use is recycled, any postage costs will be just that.
