Hand printed Lino-cut Prints and digital outputs

Steve Bennett is Jagger Studio a graphic designer by trade, having spent many years working in print, advertising and display. I set up Jagger Studio to promote my Lino prints.

Location

I am based in Leeds and is currently creating Lino prints having started in January 2017 after professing and interest in Lino Printing, my daughters bought me a kit from the well known craft company for Christmas and i got hooked.

Im fascinated by the unpredictability of the Lino Print process, while you start out with an
illustration or an idea – the cutting process allows for a new interpretation and
only at the print state can you see the results. Often the printing adds another dimension to the process

I prefer to hand print as i like the subtle tones you can get using this over the more structured process of using a press

If you have seen the prints – I sign my work JAGGER – this is a small nod to my
late dad whose name was K. J. Bennett, his middle name was Jagger, his mum’s
name – I am keeping the family name alive and I am proud to do so.
Our DNA is all Jagger even if our name is Bennett, after my dad’s mum married a Mr Bennett
