Hi, I’m Ewa, and I love big earrings!

In fact, I’ve loved them since my early teenage years. When I was a young girl, I had very short hair, which would often make me feel insecure. One day when I was 12 or 13, while secretly snooping through my mum’s jewellery box, I found a big pair of hoops. I tried them on, and after looking in the mirror, I was mesmerized. I adored the way the earrings framed my face – something my hair had always been too short to do. I couldn’t believe what a change one accessory had made, and I felt so pretty!

Statement earrings have been an inseparable part of my look ever since. Even though my hair reaches down to my waist these days, you’ll never catch me leaving the house without a pair on – I don’t feel fully dressed without them! Big earrings have had such a prominent influence on my personal aesthetic, it was only a matter of time until I started making my own…

If you are a fellow big earring lover, you are aware of the problem that comes with the territory: large earrings are often uncomfortably heavy. If you’d like to escape that annoying feeling of weight pulling down on your earlobe, I have good news: I found the solution in polymer clay, and I’m here to share.

When I first tried polymer clay earrings, I couldn’t believe how lightweight they were! Since I wore big earrings all the time, the lightness of the material made huge a difference in my day-to-day life. The improvement sparked my curiosity: how were those marvellous earrings made? As I learned more, I became intrigued by the process, and soon decided to give it a try.

As it turned out, I loved working with clay as much as I love the earrings themselves. The material lends itself to infinite possibilities of colours, shapes, and textures, and I was excited to gain a new creative outlet. Earrings were a big part of my life for so long, that being able to create my own designs felt really personal, and really clicked with me.

I opened Space Raccoon Boutique to spread my lifelong love for earrings even further. I want to share the little moments of joy I experience whenever I put on a pair of cute, big earrings that are lightweight and effortless to wear. I hope you feel it too when your new, lovingly handcrafted pair arrives in the mail.

I thrive on variety, and firmly believe all big earrings are good earrings. Whether you’re looking for an elegant number for a fancy date, bold colours and quirky shapes, or neutral earthy tones, I hope you find something to your taste. I continuously work on new designs, and love experimenting with different techniques, patterns, and colour palettes. And to get the shapes and sizes just perfect, I design and make my own clay cutters as well!

Designing and creating earrings is a slow-paced, multi-stage process, and I love it that way; it’s a very deliberate, mindful activity, which has been a great boost to my mental health. I put a lot of care and effort into every step: whether it's making my own earring cutters, mixing custom clay colours, or hand-polishing every piece at the end... The goal is to ensure that each earring is finished just right, and something that I would be proud to wear myself. I hope it shows when you're looking gorgeous in your new favourite pair!
