First of all I made three circles from metal wire - two of them are sterling silver circles, made of 2x3mm D-shaped wire. For the third circle I have used copper to give a contrasting colour and that has also been hammered. Two of the circles were opened using a saw, then threaded through the closed circle and resealed with silver solder. This creates a single triplet bangle with three interlinked circles. They were made from 1mm thick copper sheet, cut with a jeweller's saw into two long narrow triangles. I drilled a hole in the narrow end of each one then bent and hammered the metal into a circular shape, using a ring mandrel. I treated the two rings with an oxidising solution to create the dark patina, then polished it with a small amount of Renaissance wax to protect the surface. Finally I added a matching coppertone ear hook and five coppery crystal beads, each with a silver lining to create a bit of sparkle. I have just sold the last pair of 3-hoop earrings that I had in stock and decided to make the next ones much larger. Are you bold enough to wear them? They are real statement earrings that look terrific on - especially if you have a long neck and like to wear your hair up sometimes! These dangly copper earrings are made from 1.5mm copper wire, hammered first then formed into rings with diameters of 2.0cm, 2.8cm and 3.6cm. The rings are linked in order of increasing size to form chains of three and soldered with silver solder. The top links are attached via jump rings to bronze-coloured ear hooks. The total drop from the bottom of the hook is 8cm. The rings are very mobile, catching the light as they twist and turn. They are comfortable to wear.
