I have crocheted this sea themed wind spinner using a 100% cotton yarn in 2 shades of cotton for the corkscrew spiral and a single shade for the cute little octopus. The octopus is filled with a small amount of fibre fill which conforms to all standards. A stainless steel spinner with a hook for hanging has been attached to the top so that it can all spin freely. Hang anywhere that they might be in a draught/breeze to enable them to spin ie. in a hallway, window, porch, verandah, gazebo to give just a few ideas. Cotton and the fibrefill will dry if they get wet but may become grubby over time, I would not recommend that they are left outdoors permanently. Measurements. I have used a different brand of cotton yarn for the basket it is a firmer yarn and this helps to make a sturdier basket, It is a few shades darker than the green used for the coasters but they still go together perfectly. The extra cost for the basket also covers the increased cost of RM 2nd class postage from Large Letter to Small Parcel. Perfect to use indoors or outside but it would be unwise to leave them outdoors for long periods. The neckerchief measures across the long edge approx. 43" (110cm) excl.tails and from the centre of the long edge to the middle point approx. 23" (59cm) The yarn content is 75% acrylic 10% wool 10% mohair 5% metallic.
