Individually handmade kiln annealed artisan lampwork glass. Unique and contemporary jewellery from Edinburgh, Scotland, UK.

We are glass artists living and working in Edinburgh, Scotland, designing and creating artisan lampwork using a wide range of glass materials sourced from around the world. Each of our art glass beads is individually handmade at the torch, placed directly into the hot kiln where it is fully annealed for strength. We started making glass beads in late 2007 and fell in love with the process instantly. From there we taught ourselves how to make the beads we wanted and the process is continually evolving.

Whereas the art of lampworking has its origins over 2000 years ago, our unique and contemporary handcrafted beads make excellent focal bead pendants – a statement piece that complements your individuality. Alternatively, they can be used for jewellery projects with semi-precious stones, pearls, seed-bead weaving and wire wrapping.

Every Masque Bead is a one of a kind designer piece that has been created with care and love for glass. We use a a variety of CoE 104 glass rods, such as Effetre, Vetrofond, Lauscha, Reichenbach and Kugler, CiM; Reichenbach & Gaffer CoE96; CoE 90 glass, such as Bullseye; and Borosilicate (Northstar, Momka, Glass Alchemy). Materials include dichroic, super lustre Double Helix glasses, silver and copper; techniques include etching (for a sea glass finish), sandblasting, electroforming, gold and silver fusing.
