Creating art from digital experimentation

I am a self-taught digital artist. I have used a variety of films and digital cameras since I was a child and have always experimented with various photographic techniques. Then, some years ago, as I stood on a platform on the London underground watching my fellow commuters, I decided to capture moments in their lives using my phone and reshape them into abstract images using various smartphone apps. Later I decided I wanted to go further and started using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop to manipulate and abstract my images. And nowadays it’s so much more than my commute as I constantly search for new ideas. I visit museums around the world, virtually and in person. I look at artists on Instagram and art books for inspiration. My passion is for creating something novel: I like to experiment with new tools in an effort to create something original and to see how I can abstract an image or an element or elements within it. All this keeps me motivated and excited about the art I create.
