Where to start! First and foremost, the name "Elle Bee" - this is pretty straightforward, my name is Laura Beaumont, shorten that to "LB" and this is where it gets us!
Elle Bee has been up and running as a small business since 2013 and has come a long way since then!
I started out making simple layered cards for family and friends, then taking them to craft fairs and, ultimately, going online with my website. As part of my creative journey I discovered die-cutting which enabled me to make elaborate, luxurious cards and keepsake boxes, which have been very popular, especially for milestone birthdays and life events, such as weddings, new babies and alike.
From here I designed and created handmade wedding invitations and stationery to supplement my work with cards - and this is where I spend a large amount of time. Given the timescales of making large orders on a handmade basis, in 2016 I supplemented my existing designs with professionally designed printed invitations and stationery - allowing for quicker turnaround times.
Alongside this I have designed a number of silly, funny - and sometimes rude(!) - simple everyday cards for a number of occasions and open-minded recipients!
My key methodology with any and all of my items is quality. All of my materials and packaging come from highly-vetted UK suppliers, ensuring that all items are created and sent with quality in mind. This too goes for customer service; all couples ordering a wedding stationery sample receive a signed letter alongside their sample - I always want couples to know that their wedding is as important to me as it is to them.
I live in Worcester with my husband Ian - who helps with tons of Elle Bee stuff - and three cats (Daisy, Lilly and Jackson) and a rabbit (Benson); thankfully they stay out of my way when I'm making!
