Hi, my name is Shaun and I am, with the moral support of my partner Rebecca, duggi Design.

After 15 years in the construction industry I became disillusioned by the 'quantity-over-quality' way of thought that seems to plague this sector nowadays and finally decided I needed to find a path that allowed my obsession with attention to detail to flourish.

I somehow managed to land a job working for a bespoke sign maker, catering to high-end yacht builders and owners. With the focus purely on quality, surrounded by a talented design-and-build team and an atmosphere where ideas and creativity are actively encouraged, I felt ready to start my own side project.

And that's when duggi Design was born.

So why duggi?

It's named after my 94 year old Grandad Doug (or Dougy as he is known to anybody who knows him) with a twist on the spelling to create something unique. A true inspiration to me, he has the most incredible stories about his life adventures and I am yet to find anyone who has such a positive attitude and outlook on life, despite being well into his later years.

It feels fitting to use, as even when the full time job and a hectic life stands in the way of progression at times, it constantly reminds me of why I do it and what I aspire to in the future.
