About Kingdom Sea Treasures

Kingdom Sea Treasures

Lovingly crafted beach art

I have walked the Fife Coastline, this 'fringe of gold upon a beggars mantle' for years now and have been collecting sea glass and pottery treasures, all daily given up by the cold North Sea, and have been constructing artwork from them for some time.

I live 300 paces from the sea and the seals are my near neighbours together with the cormorants and Groucho Marks pacing orange nosed oystercatchers. My studio is on the upper floor of our house during the winter and our warm sunlit opened door garage in the summer.

I like white chocolate in the morning and a couple of glasses of Cinzano in the evening. I enjoy charity shopping for bargains, long walks and short men. My husband of over 40 years a short man and a writer also takes time to walk the shores along with me.

So, beach-combing is my passion and all my products are lovingly handmade from materials found on walks with my family along the beautiful coastline of East Fife. Driftwood is properly cleaned and dried in the traditional way and treated with wood oil to preserve and protect its natural beauty, before use in pictures and ornaments. I enjoy using pebbles, stones, sea-glass and sea-pottery that has been gently washed and rolled by the sea into wonderful shapes and colors, often for centuries. I use a variety of mediums to create the backgrounds for my pictures from painted canvas and boards, to decorative paper. I like to finish each one with decorative silver-plated wire. , to make my sea-birds, whales, boats and cottages.

I hope you enjoy looking at my products; I guarantee that each one is unique, quirky and made with love!
