About Long Dog Craft

Long Dog Craft

Long Dog Craft is a quirky handmade jewellery and gift shop based in West Yorkshire

Long Dog Craft (LDC) is all about creating playful, original and contemporary designs that have an eco-centric heart and an accessible price point.

Using a cornucopia of beautiful materials, many of which had a different function in their previous incarnation, designer Clarey M handcrafts unique pieces that are at once quirky, wearable and distinctive.

With craftsmanship, attention to detail, strong personality and a decisive nod to sustainability, LDC reinvents and re-imagines many of the materials it uses, such as upholstery suede and vintage beads, to give them a second chance at taking centre stage and looking spectacular.

Long Dog Craft (LDC) is the brainchild of contemporary jewellery designer Clarey M, who in January 2020 decided to quit the corporate rat race and turn her back on the drudgery of the nine-to-five routine. Instead, she made it her mission to follow her dream of doing what she loves best: re-imagining traditional jewellery styles and combining materials to create new, beautiful things.

Being passionate about the environment and sustainability Clarey M produces unique handcrafted jewellery that's bursting with personality and has a contemporary appeal but is packaged in a sustainable way and made to last - it is the antidote to fast fashion.

Clarey M lives in West Yorkshire with her two Dachshund-cross rescue dogs, Bandit and Pickle, both of whom have an undefeatable spirit and boundless joy for life, in spite of their disabilities and troubled pasts.
She credits her canine muses, as well as husband Ben, with providing daily inspiration to explore the meaning of happiness, achievement and success – mantras that are the guiding force behind LDC.

Clarey M has a BA (Hons) in Art & Design from York St John's University, where she specialised in ceramics.
