Long forgotten prints introduced to a new audience

I am an early years teacher and father of two, with an unusual hobby. I studied marine biology in university, in my final year a did my dissertation on nudibranchs, a type of sea slug. Whilst doing research in the cosy university library I found an old, dusty book all about them. The pages were faded and falling out and the spine was broken, but inside were the most detailed drawings and paintings of species of nudibranch around the British Isles.

I didn't realise it then, but I was hooked. Against the rules, I scanned the images and saved them on my laptop to show my friends and family. Nobody was interested in my poorly scanned and faded images of sea slugs. Nevertheless, I kept showing the images to people who feigned their interest.

I have a family, a wife and two daughters, mum and sister. My mum has been a amateur artist all her life and my sister is a successful graphic designer. I caught her using Photoshop one day and saw all these amazing things she could we poorly taken photos. She showed me the basics and since then I have been developing my skills to re-enhance old prints.

I have been working these prints as a hobby for many years, I enjoy it and find it very rewarding. I have filled up many hard drives with my work and very rarely show it to anyone, until recently. I have been encouraged to share my work and have started to upload some of my favourites.
