Intricate creations handcrafted from woven wire.

While studying art and textiles, I was drawn to the malleability of wire. After years of experimenting with other art processes such as beading and enamelling, I progressed from making the simplest forms to using the beautiful and complex technique of weaving wire.
I create a variety of jewellery, functional objects and decorative pieces. I have gifted my handmade items to friends and family and the praise I received inspired me to open this shop. I love to design my own work and then experiment with the wire, discovering how I can turn my designs into physical pieces.
I especially enjoy working with copper as the oxidation of the wire over time creates beautiful tones and an aged look which I often contrast with the colour of the beads and the other inclusions. I love the intricacy I can achieve using different gauges of wire from the finest through to heavier gauges.
The additional materials I enjoy using include glass, clay and beads. I am continuously finding new media to incorporate into my wire pieces.
