Reclaim, Recycle, Rework

I live in the county of Wiltshire, and i am a true Moonraker. My family can be traced back to the 1700's. Within Wiltshire we have Stonehenge, Avebury ( i live between the two ) plus many other interesting spiritual places. These places give me inspiration to make my whimsical items.
Growing up in the 50's with older parents, when times were hard, taught me how to be 'thrifty', to not throw away things that can be re-used. This has stayed with me throughout my life, and with today's 'throw away' society, it surely was a good lesson to learn. Too many things are thrown away, that can be recycled. So this is what i have done over the years.
Unfortunately 20 years ago i was seriously ill, and was classed as disabled, that is until a year ago, when the powers that be, declared me fit for work. My health, if anything had got worse, ( heart disease ) but being the sort of person who helps themselves and never asked for help from anyone, that was my downfall. After being told i should apply for jobs that were just not suitable for me, i was persuaded to go ' self employed' with my crafts..... so this is what i have done. I hope you like what you see.
Nawadays, i am often walking with my two dogs, an elderly blue merle collie and a black poodle pup, around Avebury circle, getting inspiration for things to paint or make. If you are there ans see me, please come say hi. Mogs xx
