Tiny Teal Handcrafted is a small, UK based artisan craft company founded in the heart of the West Midlands. We started out creating handmade artisan soap and soy wax melts, but now also love creating custom colour ways of hand dyed indie yarn to create unique knitted garments and accessories.
Why hand dye yarn? I love, love, love knitting after being taught how at a very young age. As i've got older, I've experimented with new techniques and adore colour work. I often had an idea of what colours I would like to use for a project, but couldn't always find the yarn I needed to create my vision. So, I began dying my own yarn. I loved the process so much that I wanted to add it to my offerings. If you have a project, with a colour way in mind, feel free to contact me and I can help to bring your vision to life with a custom, one off colour way.
Why do I make soap? A few Christmas's ago I was gifted a beautiful bar of handmade soap and it literally changed my life. After years of suffering with dry and damaged, acne prone, sad skin, I could literally feel the difference over night. My usually tight and irritated skin was softer and felt soothed. I was sold! Over the next 18 months, I taught myself how to make soap by reading every book and article I could find, I watched every YouTube video and I made countess batches in search of the perfect recipe. My husband even joked that I had researched so much that I had "completed the internet"!!
At Tiny Teal Handcrafted, we are committed to using only the very best ingredients to create a little piece of homemade luxury. Our handcrafted artisan soap is made by us, in small batches, using the cold process technique. Made with skin-loving vegetable oils and luxurious butters including olive oil , coconut oil, responsibly sourced sustainable palm oil*, sweet almond oil and shea butter.
Our soap is tested extensively, but only on our friends and family. We never, ever test any products or ingredients on animals. Although I have thought about creating a doggy bar as my boy Rudy loves a bath
