Junk Journals, Ephemera stickers & Thank you cards

What is a junk journal & who are we...
First off we will tell you a little about junk journals themselves as not everyone knows what they are, then we will move on to tell you all about us!

So, What is a junk journal? I get asked this a lot.. I never really knew how to describe them when I first started but now I describe them as a book made up of all different types of papers and material, that would have probably just ended up in the bin - but don't worry, we don't fill the journals with any old rubbish, there is always a reason or use to keep and re-use it!

When you get your journal home you may look it and think either "its too pretty to use" or "I just don't know where to start" and to answer them both... JUST START!

There are no rules with junk journaling, its about being creative, keeping memories and just being free to do, write, draw, paint sew or collage whatever you like. You can add whatever you want to them, you can glue, sew or attach receipts, photos, business cards, stickers, ephemera or just something you found on the street and thought was pretty (IE a really crispy leaf or a funny shaped shell etc etc)... The point is.. just do what you want, you cant ruin it!

Now on to us.. I’m Roni, the daughter of the team, the one who does all the talking on here and I make all the ephemera bundles and kits you see on our shop, I also dabble in sewing, you'll see a few of my sewing projects on here too! My Mum, Vicki, makes all our journals.

Mum hand makes every aspect of our journals from the tags & pockets right through to the covers. Every book is 100% unique and hand decorated – No journal is ever the same and you are guaranteed to find something new in each and every book. We use the best quality materials to decorate every journal, all her journals require so much detail and attention, she sews pages, tags, snippets an so much more in every journal, we often look though the journals and find something we forgot about so imaging what you will find when looking through!

I make all the stickers and business cards. I love making them, it started because I wanted a sticker with my name on which is nearly impossible to find so I designed it myself on my tablet and realised I had so much fun doing it I didn't want to stop, I made one for everyone in the family, I was like a kid showing off their latest drawing! I wanted to make more and I wanted to share them with more and more people. I haven't looked back since, I've been having too much fun!

When shipping we try to be as Eco-friendly as possible. Our mailing bags are 100% recyclable and all our other packaging can be reused or recycled too. We sometimes recycle boxes from our own personal purchases (Beauty Bay boxes are our favourite!) It doesn’t always look pretty, but saving the world isn’t the prettiest of jobs!
