I make nice stuff with a practical use and good design.

The idea of Tablier Designs first started to emerge in the Autumn of 2019, but it wasn’t until the Spring of 2020 and Lockdown #1 that I really started the business, while on furlough from my job in a nursery school. I specialise in making linen aprons, both for children and adults, I also love collaborating with clients to make bespoke aprons that are exactly tailored suit them. As well as aprons my range has expanded to include other products, but all linen, and all embroidered, mainly by hand. Some product runs are very limited but I like to add in new things even if they are one offs.

I have been married for 30 years (this autumn) and have 3 children (all now living away) and we live in rural Hampshire with one Labrador and one cat. I have been a Nursery School teacher for 23 years, since my youngest was at the school, always keen to get involved and think up fun craft ideas for the children, I have always enjoyed the Arts being creative.

I am passionate about sustainability and use off-cuts, up cycled materials and European linen for my products, with no plastic and biodegradable packaging. I love souring fabrics from small independent suppliers wherever possible.
