My Handmade Dolls - Talisman made with good Energy and Power.

My name is Sonia Bacchus, i am a Fine Art Artist born in Lodz, Poland resides in the UK (Stony Stratford Milton Keynes)
Usually I paint paintings, (Portrait, Landscapes, Pets etc ) & teach Art to various Art Societies.
During Lockdown I could not visit Poland ,and I felt home sick ,So I found comfort in making Dolls native to Slavic Countries. These Slavic Dolls are called Motanki (knotted & spooled) and my Mother and Grandmother used to make them for me.
These are not Dolls only to play with, they are Talisman to protect, bring good luck and for Comfort (many kinds of these dolls) ie Dolls made with seeds those are for the house hold to bring prosperity (ziarnuszki polish for Seedling Doll), Another kind of doll is request doll (zadanica in polish) , these dolls serve only good wishes never bad ones.
Some of my Dolls do not have faces, because they will be selfish and not served the purpose they were made for, some of them have crosses on their faces to symbolise the power of the Sun.
