Here are some things just listed by other crafters and sellers on Folksy.
I learned Silversmithing techniques many years ago but life and family intervened and it wasn't until around five years ago that I began to make jewellery again. I spent time learning diverse jewellery making techniques such as beading, wire weaving, Kumihimo, Bead Weaving and anything else that seemed interesting.
As I always made more than I could wear, or give as presents, I started to sell on a small scale a local craft fairs and things grew from there.
I started up Pumblechook's in 2014 and began to import beads and findings from India, China and the USA a few years ago, both for my own use and to sell to other crafters at reasonable prices through my website and Ebay. I have recently visited India to see how stones are cut and polished by skilled craftsmen. I am now stocking some beautiful high quality beads for those special projects.
I also sell jewellery direct to the public via Craft Fairs and events.
I have a workshop at home in the Hampshire Village of Funtley, where I design and make jewellery. As well as using semi-precious stones, I like to use mixed metals and silver, using handforging, texturing, colouring and soldering techniques as well as wire wrapping. I try to make every piece of jewellery unique in some way. I am registered with Birmingham Assay Office.
