Hi, my name is Kate Pegram and I live in a lovely village in Staffordshire. I am married and have two grown up children and a gorgeous little Granddaughter.

My passion for art and crafts began when I was a small child and I would receive all sorts of kits to make things every Christmas and Birthday. After leaving school, I enrolled on a Foundation Art course at college where I got to experience working with mixed media including art, textiles and ceramics.
When I finished college I worked in a local art and craft shop for a couple of years where I learned to make all kinds of soft toys and dolls etc.
After getting married and bringing up my family I returned to college to study Beauty Therapy and Holistic Therapy. I worked for myself for 10 years specialising in Aromatherapy and Reflexology using natural plant based remedies.

Once the family had flown the nest, I had more free time and I was able to return to textiles, making collectable dolls, bears and animals etc as well as embroidery and felting. I would make special bears for friends and family on birthdays etc and they were soon asking me to make them to sell.
I also learned how to carry out sympathetic restoration and repairs to much loved teddy bears that need a bit of TLC
