"Coronavirus update: My Folksy shop is still open and I hope you find something you love! Please note that although I always aim to send orders as quickly as possible, I am trying to reduce my trips to the Post Office, so it may take a little longer than usual for your parcel to arrive. If it helps, I can also gift wrap any presents, add a hand-written note and send them directly to the recipient - just leave me a note when you check out." Thank you, and stay safe. Ailsa
Postage to the UK is via second class Royal Mail. Please ask for an overseas postal rate if required.
I reuse packaging for postage wherever I can to minimise waste and keep costs down.
Many of the items available in my shop can be made to order in a colour of your choice at no extra cost, just message me with your request.

I have always loved making things but the creative 'me' got a bit sidelined when family and work were a priority. Now that our two sons have left home I have found my creative self again.
I first dipped my toe back into the water when I was persuaded to design and sew a wall hanging for a friend's first grandson. The fabrics were chosen to coordinate with the newborn's nursery. The shapes I used for the patchwork border and quilting were inspired by the soft furnishings and wall art in the room. Applique pictures were used to tell the story of the baby's arrival with some pictures representing snippets taken from photographs of the family and their home. The wall hanging creates a lasting record of the birth of a very special little boy.
I loved the whole process of creating this truly unique memory keeping gift and have gone on to make more bespoke wall hangings and cushions celebrating weddings, special birthdays, and other important occasions.
As well as working with fabric, I enjoy creating with paper and have a whole range of papercrafted items in my shop.
It was my big sister who came up with the name for my shop. She also enjoys making things and since we call each other 'Big Sis' and 'Little Sis' she thought that 'My Crafty Little Sister' was a very appropriate name.
In 2018 we moved to the beautiful city of Worcester and have fallen in love with all that it has to offer. The cathedral alone offers a wealth of inspiration as does the city's architecture, the River Severn and the Malvern Hills. With one of our sons now living in Malawi and the other in Tokyo, I have a constant supply of inspiration from all corners of the globe.
