All Mooi designs are handmade by Charlene Wheat at her design studio based in Tyne & Wear, North East of UK. A mum of 2 and wife of 1, Charlene has been creating jewellery since 2001, and started developing a range of personalised jewellery in 2008.

At Mooi, we are really enthusiastic about beautiful jewellery and are committed to excellent customer service. Mooi uses traditional and modern jewellery making techniques to produce the best detail and high shine finish. As all items are handmade they are all unique….No two pieces will be identical.
Mooi designs are made using Sterling Silver and have the .925 quality stamp. Many of the pieces by Mooi are made using a sustainable eco-friendly Sterling Silver (listed as Eco-friendly) and all gift boxes and tissue paper are 100% recycled.
The company name:
In 2003 Charlene and her family moved to live in The Netherlands for a few years. “It was an amazing experience.”
It was during this time that Charlene came across the word ‘Mooi’ (pronounced ‘moy’ as in toy). It is a Dutch word meaning beautiful.
“I love the word ‘Mooi’…it means beautiful and it sounds beautiful. And I thought it captures the aspiration of the company.”
