Handcrafted wooden personalised gifts

Hi I’m Lisa, of Patchway Pyrography and I create wooden gifts and home decor using the craft of pyrography (wood burning) and mixed media.

I got started in the art of pyrography after trying my hand at a number of other crafts and finding from when I first picked up my solid tip pen that this was my thing. I started Patchway Pyrography as I’d recently moved into a new home and realised an extra income was needed to help with the costs of renovating, 2 years on and the works are still ongoing... does it ever end?

I love pyrography because it gives me an escape from my day job where I spend my days at the computer. It provides me with a creative release (my zen if you like) and enables me to create one of a kind pieces as no piece of wood is ever exactly the same.
