La Casina is my very special place, a cabin at the bottom of my garden where i work and play. It is full of my creactions and photos and is a very lovely place to be.
Amongest many other things, i have started to make bags and wallets and have successfully sold them in craft markets. I regularly go to market in my beautiful home city of Canterbury.
I love working with fabric and in particular I love Harris Tweed, it is such a beautiful strong and robust cloth and comes in so many different colours. I also love Liberty, so very delicate and comes in so many amazing prints. So I have put the two together for my bags and it is a match made in heaven.
After a recent trip to South Africa , I was very i taken by their lovely handprinted fabrics. They are really amazing and go so well with the Harris Tweed - Scotland meets South Africa, another amazing match.
For some of my bags i use patterns designed by Emma Brennan from Charlies Aunt. Other bags and Wallets are designed by me.
The other half of La Casina is my very talented husband who makes beautiful things from wood. He is currently working on clocks, and in particular animal clocks. They are beautifully made and special orders for a paticular animal can be placed.
