Kate has loved art from a very young age. After studying in art she followed a completely different career path for many years until the lockdown in 2020. Lockdown has given Kate the push and the time that she needed to follow the path she loves and make art her full time career.
Kate works in various media, however she has a real love for pencil drawings. She enjoys the fact that with one pencil she can make something come to life and capture her audience.
Kate's inspiration is mainly from her local area of York. She enjoys walking with her 3 dogs and spotting the wildlife as she goes. Kate also enjoys day trips with her family to local cities to find interesting buildings to draw.
Kate reproduces many of her originals into prints and beautiful greetings cards.
