Shop Announcement:

Hello welcome to Indigowares!
FREE 1st class shipping on all UK orders.
This is the fabulous indigo lovers shop where everything is shibori.
I first began my business because I was tired of all the mass produced textiles in this world.
Where nothing seemed to be unique and special anymore.
I wanted to give my family and friends gifts that were thoughtful and one of a kind.

If you would like me to gift wrap your order in beautiful tissue, ribbon and add a hand written note then please leave a comment for me when you order.
I'm happy to do this free of charge.

Have a lovely day thanks for stopping by. x

About Indigowares

Indigowares

I'm always elbow deep in indigo dye

Hello! I'm Lisa
I'm an Indigo dyer and textile designer. I have over 20 years experience working in the fashion and textile industry.
Most of my roles have been in the conceptual print studios based in London and New York. Life used to be super stressful.
When I had my children about 6 years ago I took a step back from design and put all my energy into my kids.
I began experimenting with natural indigo dye about 4 years ago. It was a way of me having some creative time away from my kids. I instantly caught the indigo and shibori bug. It is one of the most fascinating textile dyeing and designing processes I have ever tried.
I am a big believer in the slow fashion movement and believe that there is a great value in the story behind a garment or product that has been made for you. By keeping alive the traditional processes of textile making and dyeing then it can give extra meaning to what we are using and wearing everyday.
I love what I do and aspire to make a difference in the world in a creative and innovative way.

Its easy to become fascinated and addicted to the magic of shibori and indigo dyeing. You never quite know how your design will turn out, which gives the untying, unwrapping, unstitching a thrilling suspense.

I work at my home in my studio/ utility room! In the summer my garden becomes my studio.

Hopefully by spring I can advertise some Shibori workshops and folk can come and experience some shibori magic for themselves. If you are interested send me a message and I will put you on my list for up and coming workshops.

Have a lovely day! x
