Hand Painted Glassware by Mikala

I first started to paint glass way back in my early twenties (around 1993) and sold my wares at craft fairs, festivals and markets all over the country. 8 years and 2 children later I thought it would be a good idea to get a 'proper' job so I went off to work in the events industry and did so for over 20 years.

I recently left that industry in order to pursue my real love, my best ever 'job': Glass Painting.

I am so happy to be back with my craft, back at my paint spotted work desk, hunched over with a paint brush in my hand from dawn to dusk and stopping only for coffee (or to feed the cat / husband).

Times have moved on since my twenties - I no longer need to carefully wrap each piece of glass in bubble wrap, crate up over 100 pieces and drive them across the country in my battered old Peugeot. Now online shopping has made it possible for me to bring my glass to you on your phone or on your desktop (paint spotted or otherwise) - I really hope you like it.
