Hi I'm Sarah, living in Wiltshire I am wife to a wonderful man and mother of four, 11, 21, 25 and 26. I enjoy many crafts and creative pursuits.
Jewellery making started out as a hobby, self taught, I found it to be something I really enjoyed doing. I particularly like working with wire, fascinated how it can be worked with simple tools, pliers, hammer etc, to make something beautiful and wearable.
Card making is more recent, I discovered this could be quite addictive after making all my Christmas cards a few years ago. Papercraft was also something I could do with my young son (he is not so interested since starting secondary school), although he will still occasionally keep me company.
I have a thing about knitting socks! Constantly turning them out for myself and family. I am about to become a grandparent for the first time and my knitting skills have turned to baby bits (I still have a pair of socks on the go though). I enjoy sewing and have made some outfits for my girls. Gardening, the odd bit of crochet and being creative in the kitchen are also things I enjoy.
All my items are hand made by myself in the 'she shed' otherwise known as 'The Cottage' at the bottom of the garden, that hubby built for me, to my design, mainly from upcycled wood and furnished with second hand and charity shop finds.
