As a child I would write and draw pictures to family living further afield, one namely Dorothy, who inspired the name Dotti Lee.
Whilst studying for a degree in Graphic Design and Illustration I worked part time for a small chain of independent card and gift shops, this undoubtedly fuelled my love for simple, cleanly designed greetings cards and giftware. Then followed a career in newspapers, before moving on to packaging design, working with big household names including Cadbury's, Mars, Britvic and many smaller brands.
Starting a family led me to setting up my own creative business. I made my first Dated card back in 2015. Life threw another curveball in 2017 and I had to put my work on hold for a few years while I focused on my family.
I'm delighted to be back designing, and realise how much the personalised touch means to people; from customisation of items, to printing and packing everything from my home studio. With so many ideas and designs buzzing around my head I again cannot wait to continue to add more to my Folksy store.
