I have been painting and drawing for as far back as I can remember and consider myself to be a self taught artist. I studied illustration in Edinburgh before heading to London where I began freelance career as a commercial artist and illustrator. I moved back to Edinburgh in 2012 and continued in that vein for a while. Although I enjoyed my work, it became predominantly digital, I realised I missed the messiness and freeness of working with paint. Therefore, in January 2018, I begain creating my own art. I now work from an art studio to avoid messy accidents involving my two cats and oil paint!

I am inspired by nature and animals, colours and light but I am also fascinated with the human condition, philosophy and exploring Christian spirituality. Painting helps me to keep balanced in today’s turbulent world by deeply observing and interpreting it’s beauty.
